Claude E. Williams
Claude Earl Williams of Harrison County died on April 12, 2006 at Good Shepherd Medical Center. He was born January 1, 1929 on the family farm in Harrison County to Clara Hickey Williams and Pleze Ray Williams.
Claude moved to San Angelo in 1941 after the death of his father and lived there until January 1972 when he and his wife June, returned to the Longview area, building a new home on the farm where he was born and raised until he was 12 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 4 pm Saturday April 15 , 2006 at Alpine Presbyterian Church with Reverend Richard Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will follow in Alpine Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Claude was a member of the Alpine Presbyterian Church. He retired from Natural Gas Pipeline Co. in Longview. He enjoyed fishing and hunting since his early years.
Survivors include his wife, June; two sons Michael G. Williams and wife Irene of Longview; Terry Cope and wife Becky of Anna, TX.; daughter, Cathy Gulley and husband Ivan of Calliham, TX.; one grandson, David Williams and wife Lisa of Phoenix, AZ.; one granddaughter, Amy Carter Kemp and husband Cody of San Antonio, TX.; two great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters, one brother, Phillip Mann and wife, Brenda of Longview, TX.; one sister, Dorothy Price and husband, George of Woodward, OK.; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Anita Willeford Loggins of Diana, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Norma Willeford of Diana, one brother, Leonard Williams of Longview, and two grandsons, Paul Williams and Max carter lll.
Memorials may be made to the Alpine Presbyterian Church 4102 Tryon Road Longview, Texas 75605 or to the Highway 80 Rescue Mission.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday April 14, 2006 from 6pm until 8 pm.
