For all my cousins in Longview, I am so sorry we have lost your mom, my Aunt Clarice. She was pretty special. Going to Longview was a big trip for us years ago (especially when it was mostly two-lane after Texarkana), and seeing all of you and Uncle Bill and Aunt Clarice. For me, you guys were Texas.
She put up with me plenty of times, and I even got to spend a week there one summer. We played dominoes or cards every day, and she did her best to entertain her nerdy nephew. We had a lot of close times during your visits to Arkansas, both in McGehee and Hazen. I loved it when she laughed. She did not hold back when she laughed, which I have learned is the mark of a person who is happy in life.
I know she loved Uncle Bill a lot, and he loved her. I can't believe it's been 33 years, but I know they're back together.
We're on lockdown here in Kentucky, and I don't want to break it and take the chance of picking up something in stops on the way to Arkansas and Texas. I hate that, because I'd really like to see all of you right now. We'll get together soon. Please know how much I loved her. I'm thinking of all of you.
Love always, Paul B.
