Cindy Lee Songer's Obituary
Cindy Lee Songer, daughter of Alton Bryant, Sr., and Barbara Thompson Powell, was born November 12, 1960 in Wichita Falls, Tx, and departed this life on January 10, 2021 in Tyler, Tx. She had attained the age of 60 years, 1 month and 29 days.
Cindy lived in Oak Hill, Tx. since the late 1990’s with her loving husband. She was of the Baptist denomination and faithfully attended and served Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Kilgore, Tx. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading and caring for her family and those in need. Cindy was thoughtful, caring and strong.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 33 years, Russell Songer of Oak Hill, Tx.; her father Alton Bryant, Sr of Angleton, Tx.; her mother Barbara Thompson Powell of Longview, Tx.; two brothers, Alton Bryant, Jr. and wife Maria Bryant of Grandby, Co., Foster Bryant and wife Jackie Bryant of Longview Tx.; one daughter, Racheal Manis and husband, Micheal Manis of Tatum, Tx.; two sons, Drew Pierce and wife Sara Pierce of Livingston, Tx., Craig Songer of Oak Hill, Tx.; five grandchildren, Levi Manis, Savannah Manis, Shelby Manis, Brielle Manis and Landon Pierce; twelve nieces and nephew; and many, many close friends and relatives.
Funeral services will be 3 PM Saturday, January 16, 2021 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home. The family will greet friends starting at 2 pm before the service. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
