CHRISTINE BAUCUM THOMAS
Services for Christine Baucum Thomas , 93, of Longview will be 9:30 am Thursday, October 23 rd at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Jones officiating. Interment will be 4:00 pm Thursday in the Old Town Cemetery at Haynesville, Louisiana with Rev. Mike Fritscher officiating. Mrs. Thomas died Sunday, October 19th at a local medical center.
A resident of Longview since 1966, Mrs. Thomas was born August 15, 1915 in Haynesville, Louisiana to Dr. Henry and Mollie Bevil Baucum. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a homemaker, and was bookkeeper for Thomas Plumbing Company in Longview.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Drew Thomas; 2 sons, Charles E. Thomas and Larry Drew Thomas; 1 sister and 4 brothers. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia T. and John P. Birdsong of Longview; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Rexanne Thomas of McKinney; a daughter-in-law, Gloria Thomas of Longview; grandchildren: Alan Birdsong, JonAnne Fritscher and husband Mike, Clay Birdsong and wife Ruth, Katy Curtis and husband Matt, Lindsey Robinson and husband Kyle, Natalie Santos and husband Derek, DeeLayne Kubicki and husband Tony, Cody Thomas and wife Angela; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Marzell B. Sale and Elizabeth Merritt of Haynesville, Louisiana; sisters-in-law, Juanette Baucum, Carrie Mae Edmonds, Louise T. Fuller, and Lena Mae Thomas.
Christine's faith and love for Christ is a testimony to God's grace and faithfulness! Her church family and Sunday school Class held a very special place in her heart.
The family is grateful for Gary And Sylvia Smith for their love and devotion, friendship and care they showed mother and dad for many years.
Thank you JoAnn Garrett for your love and care given to mother in these last days of her life.
Finally, the family thanks Brittany, Carrie, and Q of At Home Health for their tender care.

The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd. Wednesday evening 6 to 8 pm.
