Chris Payne's Obituary
Chris Payne of Tyler left this earth on August 19, 2014.
He was born in Houston, TX on March 18, 1967, to Donald Lee and Anna Taylor Payne. Chris graduated from The University of Houston and received a degree in Journalism.
Chris was a loving and generous son, father, fiancé, and most of all, friend to all the lives he touched. He was a fervent humanist with a boundless passion for helping the common man and those struggling with addiction recovery. He enjoyed writing, working out, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Chris is survived by two daughters: Christina Jean, 19, of Tyler and Amy Anne, 17, of Arlington. He is also survived by his parents: Donald Lee and Anna Taylor Payne of Longview; a sister: Donna and spouse, Larry Courington of Longview; nephew: Will Courington of Dallas; a fiancé: Wendy Hamiter Wagner of Tyler; 3 fur babies: Carrie, Heidi, and Freaky, and countless other friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Dallas 24 Hour Club. Dallas24hourclub.org.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday at Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
