Chris J. Laya's Obituary
Graveside service for Chris J. Laya, 79, of Longview will be held at ten a.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA with Pastor Garrett Craig officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home.
Chris was born on January 11, 1940 in Sheridan, WY to Stanley and Clara Laya. He went to be with his Lord February 15,2019. He grew up in Dayton, WY and attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie, WY. He was an active member of Grace Creek Church and a veteran of the United States Army. Before his retirement, Chris worked as a laboratory technician at Western Research Institute. Chris was preceded in death by his parents and two infant siblings.
Survived by his wife, Terry Florich Laya; brother George Laya and wife Myna; nephews, Randy Laya and wife Ramona, Phillip Laya and wife Lynn; niece Aime Morrison and husband Blair; sister in law Anita Caldwell and husband John and grandnephews Neil Laya, Jake & Nick Morrison.
