Chorlsue "Sue" Baumgardner
Funeral services for Chorlsue "Sue" Baumgardner, 76, of Longview will held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 25, 2008 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend John Saint officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park. She passed away Thursday, August 21, in a Longview hospital.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, August 24, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Baumgardner was born June 20, 1932 in Delight, Arkansas to Robert and Jamie Webb Presley, and was a Longview resident most of her life. She was an avid quilter and seamstress. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching. Mrs. Baumgardner loved her family and was a caretaker to many people. In the 1960's, she was a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview. She was a homemaker and a member of the White Oak United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Presley.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 56 years, James Baumgardner of Longview; children, Les Baumgardner and wife Kathy of Lake Cherokee, IdaSue Aycock and husband Kirk of Arlington, TX, and Janet Adams and husband John and Henry Baumgardner all of Longview; grandchildren, Rebecca Aycock and husband Aaron, twins Derek and Ryan Baumgardner, and Dillon Haltom; great grandchildren, Joseph Skaggs and Ethan and Landen Aycock; brothers, John W. Presley and wife Shirley of Kilgore and Jim Presley and wife Patsy of Hobbs, NM; sister-in-law, Sarah Presley of Arlington; and aunts Nellie Presley of Atlanta, TX and Nettie Bean of Arkadelphia, AR; and several nieces nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Longview Cancer Center, 1300 N. 4th. St., Longview, TX or to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 5005 LBJ Fwy., Ste. 250, Dallas, TX 75244.
