Cheryl Ann McMullen Holt's Obituary
Cheryl Ann McMullen Holt ,69, of Longview, Texas, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017. She was born in Houston, Texas, on August 8, 1947 to Clarence E. McMullen and Georgie Marie Duffey McMullen.
She is preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law, Hal and Dessie Cox; son, Bobby Dan Holt; brother-in-law, Donald Holt.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, W.P. (Shorty) Holt; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Brenda McMullen; brother-in-law, Ben Holt; sisters-in-law, Narcie Sypert, and Wanda Mauzy; children and their spouses, Kimberly and Kevin Quinn, Kelli and Darryl Stanford, Kyle and Jessica Holt, Cara and Dan DeMarco, Paula and Jimmy Hatley, Janie and the late Bobby Dan Holt, Bill and Leanne East, Bob East and Tracey Vann, Cindy Osborn, Justin and Tina Holt, and Marsha and Chris Wade. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, Lainey, Aidan, Gracie, Connor, Michael, Jeremy, Jocelyn, Bobbie Lynn, J.W., Amanda, Lauren, Ben, Alicia, Michael, Jason, Crystal, Susan, one on the way, Elliot Peyton, and several great-grandchildren. Cheryl loved being an aunt and great aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She loved them all, but David Ray, Donna Lynn, and Jimmy Don always had a special place in her heart.
She graduated from Longview High School in 1965 and attended SFA State University. Cheryl devoted her life to being a homemaker, caring for her family, and raising her children. She truly cherished her family and friends and loved nothing more than everyone coming together.
Cheryl loved The Lord and her church. Her family and friends will miss her immensely, but are left with peace of mind that she is no longer hurting and is now with her Savior, Jesus Christ.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Cheryl’s life on Monday, February 13, 2017, at First Baptist Church Liberty City, Texas, at 11 a.m. There will be a visitation time before the service from 10-11 a.m. at the same location.
