Cherry Liem Parker's Obituary
Cherry Liem Parker, 80, of Longview passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023 after a brief illness. Cherry was born December 12, 1942 in Port Arthur, Texas. She married Mardy Van Parker on September 1, 1960. Cherry was a RN for many years working at both Good Shepherd and Longview Regional along with several nursing homes in the area. She and her husband, Mardy, also owned and operated three Mardy's convenience stores for many years. Cherry was preceded in death by her brother, Dan Liem, and her grandson Corey Broach. Cherry is survived by her husband Mardy Parker, her four children, Tim Parker and wife Ailen, Tami Broach, Trey Parker and wife Rhonda, Vicki Jacobs and husband Eric; grandchildren Brandon Broach and wife Brooke, Dustin Shirley, Dillon Jacobs and wife Sara, Trent Parker and wife Madison, Kathryn Parker, Ryan Parker, Courtney Parker, TJ Parker, Amelia Parker, and great-grandchildren, Braddox Broach and Jasper Jacobs.
