Mrs. Charlotte Ann Tutt Shafer's Obituary
Charlotte Ann Tutt Shafer of Hallsville passed away January 2, 2017 at Good Shepard hospital. She was born on October 2, 1942 in Longview to Charles “Pete” and Lorraine Tutt. Mrs. Shafer graduated from Longview High School in 1960. She married Ronald L. Shafer in 1963. She worked for Longview Automatic Gas for over 30 years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, and her swing on her front porch.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Kathy Pence, Chris, Scott, Ronald and Leigh Ann Shafer; her grandchildren Tabitha, Amber, Stephanie, Carsen, and R.J. Shafer, Devin and Kayla Tems, and Junior Boyd; her sister-in-law Gayle Tutt; niece and Nephew Tiffany and Troy Crafton and Trent and Karrie Tutt; Uncle Buck Tutt, and several cousins. Mrs. Shafer was preceded in death by her parents and her younger brother, Robert E. Tutt.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, January 5, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Burial will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery in Longview. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
The family would like to say a special thanks to the Doctors and Nursing staff at Good Shepard who too such great care of Mom.
