Charlotte "Nana" Ann Reimer Wyche's Obituary
Charlotte “Nana” Ann Reimer Wyche was born Oct. 19, 1944 and passed away at her home with her family on June. 30, 2025. She was born in Marshall, TX to R.D. Alexander and Ruby Louise Mcfarien. At age 22 she met her first husband Ronald Reimer in Waco, where they were married 12/4/1964. For many years they moved around before finally making a home in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan where for several years they raised their 2 boys James Joseph Reimer (d 2023) and Bradford Lee Reimer, whom she is survived by. During these years she met Ronald’s sister, Marcia and they became as close as sisters until her death. She and Ronald divorced a few years later and she made her way back to Longview where she met and fell in love with Roger Glynn Wyche in 1982 and eventually married in March 1986. During these years she met a cousin of Roger’s, Vera Garlough and they to become as close as sisters until her death as well. She was a nurse for a little over 35 years and was one of the 1st nurses to be hired at LRMC where she met many lifelong friends even to the end. In 2002 she hung her stethoscope up to help take care of her grandchildren so they wouldn’t have to be in daycare. She throughly enjoyed her many adventures and making memories with her prides and joys Madison and Mason Reimer. Once they were old enough to go to school they sold their home on Lake Cherokee, found and bought a RV so they could travel the world and see the many sights of the world. During their many travels they found a space on Crystal Beach where they would set up “home” several times a year from 2010-2015. During this time Madison and Mason got to spend many summer weeks with them where they were taught and loved the game of 42 and the beach. They lived and loved life to the fullest with all they had from 2008 until his death in May 2015. In early 2016 Nana found her final home on earth in Tatum, TX next door to her son Brad, daughter-in-law Teresa, and grandchildren Madison, and Mason where once again she would gladly help raise the grands and they could take care of her until the end. During these last years she became fast friends with Trish Martin (Teresa’s mom) where they found the love of 42 and became a dynamic duo to be reckoned with. They met many friends at their annual 42 competitions and at the weekly games at the Green Street Rec Center. She had one of the greenest thumbs in all of Texas where could literally bring a tree back to life even after it had been run over and chopped up by a lawn mower (true story). She loved the ocean, reading, cooking, and being with her family. Even though she drove separately to events just in case she wanted to leave the party early another true story. She LOVED to have a McDonald’s Coke every day and even some French fries occasionally and was sad when they took away the chicken snack wraps. In her last days all she wanted was a medium cup or cups of DQ ice cream and a large Coke with 7 ice cubes. We will miss you here on earth but we know we will all be together again in Heaven. Until then we hope you can help Heaven grow some of the most beautiful flowers and trees and maybe possibly help get our place ready for us.
