Memorial services for Charlotte Jane Self, 58, of Shreveport, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at Rosewood Park Mausoleum with the Reverend James Pierce officiating under the direction or Rader Funeral Home of Longview. She passed away Friday, April 22, in Longview.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at the New Life Baptist Church, 3001 W. Hawkins Pkwy., Longview, Texas.
Charlotte was born December 25, 1946 in De Ridder, LA. She had been a resident of Shreveport for 25 years. She was a former secretary in the finance business, and was a member of the Eastwood Baptist Church in Haughton, LA.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Roy Purcell of Longview; grandchildren, Halee Jane and Zachary Ryan Purcell; sisters, Betty Honley of Ringgold, LA., Carolyn Robinson of Pensacola, FL., and Patricia Red of Bossier City, La.; brother, David Monroe Self of Shreveport; step-mother, Doris Self of De Ridder,; close friends, Estella Scott of De Ridder, LA., and Elgie Walker of Bossier City; 6 nieces; 2 nephews; 11 great nieces; and 6 great nephews.
