Charlotte Edwards
Funeral services for Charlotte Edwards, 69, of Gladewater will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2011 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, Longview with Pastor Jace Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park. She passed away Wednesday, September 14, at her residence in Gladewater.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Edwards was born August 18, 1942 in Galveston, TX to Frank and Louise Loesch. She was retired from the IRS and a member of the Solid Rock Bible Fellowship in Longview.
Mrs. Edwards was a 1960 graduate of Ball High School in Galveston, where she was Colonel of the Tornettes Drill Team. She also instructed Little League Drill Teams and enjoyed roller skating. She enjoyed camping and was an avid quilter. She and her husband enjoyed Bluegrass Music and attended numerous Bluegrass Music Festivals.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 47 years, Alfred d. ?Sonny? Edwards of Gladewater; her children Darrell Edwards and his wife Dena of Longview and Michelle York and her husband Randy of Hallsville; grandchildren, Darrell Edwards, Trace Rossow, Jonathan York, Jacob York and Matthew York; brothers, Frank Loesch and wife Pat of Galveston and Herbert Loesch of Houston; sister, Mary Huffman and husband Jimmy of Belton.
