Charles Wesley Wert's Obituary
Charles Wesley Wert went to be with his Lord and Savior and join his sweet wife Rosezetta in heaven on July 4, 2025. Charles was born in Maud, Oklahoma to parents Charles Leon and Juanita Wert. He was getting ready to celebrate his 93rd birthday on August 27th.
Charles and Rosezetta met during their high school years. They were married February 6, 1955, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, and blessed with 64 years of marriage. Charles and Rosezetta were truly soulmates and were such a loving and devoted example to all who knew them.
Charles had a true zest for life from raising and training horses as a young man alongside his Dad to working in the oil fields in the early 1950’s and continuing throughout his life. He was especially proud of his military service in the Air Force during the Korean War. His many assignments took him all over the United States and overseas to what was then known as French Morocco.
Charles was proceeded in death by his wife Rosezetta Mae Nance Wert; his parents, Charles Leon and Juanita Wert; and sister, Sue Ingram.
He is survived by his son and daughter Jeff Wert and Julie Rigby; Rosezetta’s sisters Mary Lou Brace and husband Bob; Loe Neill and husband Roy; sister-in-law Marilyn Nance. And numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
The family would like to thank all of the staff of Brookdale South and Prime Care Hospice for their loving care of Charles.
