In 1991, Charles Gene Tullis gave me an opportunity as a young engineer to grow and learn how to conduct yourself in the business world. We drove to Houston to meet with many different customers on a multitude of projects over the 10 years I worked at King Tool Company. He was instrumental in me getting involved with Rotary International, to continue the charitable work he has been doing all his life. My prayers go out to Dee and all the family.
Charles is one of Louisiana Tech University's most distinguished alumni. He used his talents to have major impacts in the industry and in the development of future leaders. His values and principles of hard work, loyalty, leadership, commitment and caring were inspiring to me and all who met him. I am grateful to have been his friend. Les Guice, President

I always enjoyed talking to Mr. Tullis at his office and the post office. He really was that "John Wayne" sort of man; friendly,gracious and interesting. Prayers to the whole family.casey cammack
A sad day indeed. I went to work at King Tool back in 1989 as an machine shop helper, and built odorizer crates. Mr. Tullis must have seen some potential in me, for he asked if I would like to learn something, I said yes. That's when he introduced me to the drafting department. He let me train 1 hour a day at first, then about 2 weeks later he moved me into the drafting department. I will always be grateful to Mr. Tullis for the opportunities that opened up for me because of him.
