Charles "Robbins" Davis, Jr. was born in Longview, Texas on May 30, 1982 and died on June 10, 2009 as the result of an accident. Robbins was a unique person: an artist and generous of spirit. He worked at the Longview Museum of Fine Arts, a favorite of children, and as a host at the Java Lounge. He was becoming well known and respected in the heart of Longview, a Bohemian celebrating the uniqueness of every person with whom he came in contact. He died fully invigorated, totally alive and free, riding his motorcycle. He is a soul that has no enemies.
Robbins is survived by his parents Pamela and Charles Robbins Davis, Sr.; sister, Wesley Lichty and brother-in-law David, sister, Brooke Davis, and niece, Chloe Lichty. Also surviving Robbins are his grandmother, Betty Robbins Davis Hurst "Grand Bets" and her husband, Dr Charles Richard Hurst, his aunt, Elizabeth Davis, uncle, Randy Smith and wife Brenda Smith, and cousin, Greyson Smith. Preceding him in death are his grandparents Charles Henry Davis, Bob M. Lloyd, and Mr. and Mrs. Ford Wesley Smith
The family request memorials be sent to the Robbins Davis Memorial Labyrinth Fund at Trinity Episcopal Church, 906 Padon, Longview, Texas 75601, or to a charity of your choice.
May the precious spirit that is Robbins live on in all of you.
