Charles Roach's Obituary
Charles Roach of Driftwood, Texas and formerly of Longview, passed from this life on September 15, 2005 in Austin, Texas. He was born April 11, 1931 in Quanah, Texas to Ed Dupree and Zadie Roach.
Charles spent six years in the U.S. Army serving in Korea during the Korean Conflict. He was an agent for State Farm Insurance in Longview for 38 years, retiring in 2000.
He is survived by Joann, his wife of 50 years; his son Doug Roach of Austin; his daughter Sherry Turner of Owatonna, Minnesota and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, David in 1974.
A faithful and loving husband, generous and fun-loving dad, Charles will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday, September 19th at the chapel of the Alpine Church of Christ, 610 E. Loop 281 in Longview with Gary Hounshell officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at the Alpine Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd. in Longview, Sunday afternoon 3 to 6 PM.
