Charles Rayford Stephenson's Obituary
Funeral services for Charles Rayford Stephenson, 69, of Hallsville, will be 10 AM Thursday in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Neil Thornberg, Jim Walsh and Donald Lacy officiating. Entombment will follow in Memory Park Mausoleum under the direction of Rader Funeral Home, Longview.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday 6 to 8 PM.
Mr. Stephenson died Monday evening at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born in Kilgore, Texas, December 24, 1935 and had lived in the Hallsville area since 1976. He was a retired supervisor with the City of Longview Water and Sewer department.
Charles is survived by his wife of 47 years; Lyndol, daughters: Donna Mackey and husband William Mac and children Justin and Rebecca of Hallsville, Diana Hays and husband Mark and children Joshua and Jonathan of Longview; Son: Michael Scott Stephenson and wife Mary and children Jonathan, Chelsea, Shelby and Benjamin of Tennessee Colony. Brothers: Billy Ray Bud Stephenson and wife Pat of Arp, Bobby Stephenson and wife Debra of Bay City, Barry Stephenson and wife Ruth of Channelview and James Robert Stephenson of Athens. Sisters: Wanda Stewart and husband Thomas of Carthage, Patsy Hooks of Kilgore, Barbara Peltier of Houston, and Georgia Dupree and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Stephenson was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Dudley and Betty Stephenson and a sister Jo Ann Rozell.
