Charles Ray Bird's Obituary
Graveside services for Charles R. Bird, 67, of Longview, will be 11 AM Saturday at McDonald Cemetery, New Summerfield, Texas, with Reverend Donny Sadler officiating. Interment will follow in McDonald Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home, Longview.
Mr. Bird passed away Thursday morning in a Longview hospital.
He was born March 2, 1940 in New Summerfield, Texas to the late Jim and Evie Moose Bird. He was the operator of a salvage business
Mr. Bird was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Harold Blue Bird and Gerald Bird and a sister: Florence Westmoreland.
He is survived by his wife Linda of Longview; daughters: Alana Blanks and husband Mark of Longview, Sheri Meador and husband Gary of Hallsville, Stacy Smith of Hallsville and Tonya Watson of Jacksonville, TX; brothers: James Buddy Bird of Kingwood, Tx, Donald Bird and wife Pat of Summit, MS and Richard Bird and Joy of New Summerfield; sisters: Edith Searcy of Concord, Texas and Ruth Martin of Jacksonville and 10 grandchildren.
