Charles Moore's Obituary
Charles Vanuel Moore was born April 21, 1932 in Coffee County, Alabama to JM and Mattie Mozell Dunn Moore, and passed away in Longview, TX on October 11, 2023.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, sisters and brother in laws; Alice (Frank) McWaters, Ethel (Charles) Ellis and Barsie Nell (Lynwood-Buddy) Sasser. His brothers, Haywood Clearance Moore as an infant and James Moore. And brother in law, Harry Howell. Infant twin grandchildren, Justin and Dustin Cutshall.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Edna Elizabeth Billiard Moore and their children; Faith Moore White of Clinton, IN, Fawn Moore (Jeffery) Holt of Chucky, TN, Rebecca Moore (Randy) Cannon of Hallsville, TX, Theresa Weaver (Christopher D) Edmonds of Mahomet, IL and Jason Weaver of Mahomet, IL. Charles is also survived by his grandchildren; Amber White (Jacob) Loewenstein, Evan White, Charles Brian (Ashton) Cutshall, Joshua Akins, Jonathan Cummins, Kendyl Cummins (Austin) Vite, Chatman Edmonds, Sofia Weaver, and 10 great grandchildren. Sister, Sarah Howell and sister in law, Lenora Moore, brother in law, William Billiard as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Charles was a veteran of the Air Force and fought in Korea. He retired as the Director of Building and grounds at Urbana School District 116 of Urbana, IL after 34 years.
