Charles Milam Roberts' Obituary
Services for Charles Milam Roberts, 81, will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 22 at Rader Funeral Home chapel, with burial at Rosewood Cemetery. Milam was born to Carl Roberts, Sr. and Johnnie Olla McCoy on March 26, 1925 in Clarksville, Texas. He married Tad Humphries, and they celebrated their 63rd anniversary in March. He graduated from Clarksville High School and began his career as a self-employed electrical contractor and then worked for Texas Power & Light, General Dynamics, and Schlitz/Strohs. He is a member of Masonic Lodge of Mt. Pleasant, Tx and served as Worshipful Master in 1962. He is survived by his wife Tad, of Longview, daughter and son-in-law John and Rebecca Phelps of Orange, daughter Joan Floyd of Longview, son James Milam Roberts of Longview, grandson John Allen Phelps and wife Stephanie of Dripping Springs, granddaughter Kristina Robinson and husband Cristopher of San Antonio, great grandson Michael Robinson of San Antonio, brother Carl Roberts Jr. of Clarksville, sisters Helen Parks of Millsap and Nancy Parris of Clarksville, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation of family and friends will be at Rader Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 pm.
