Charles Keith Hopkins' Obituary
Services for Charles Keith Hopkins, 59, of Longview will be at 2 PM Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Johnson officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Hopkins passed away Saturday afternoon at his home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Charles was born November 29, 1946 in Dallas, Texas to Algie and Lou Dean Hopkins. He lived in Longview most of his life and graduated from Pine Tree High School in 1965. Mr. Hopkins proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army and was honorable discharged in 1968. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Charles loved playing baseball and watching his grandson with all his sports. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was loved by all his friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, and 1 brother, Terry Hopkins.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Betty Hopkins; daughter Wendy Uhiler of Longview; son and daughter in law Kevin and Kristi Hopkins of Longview; grandchildren Robby Garcia and Lily Uhiler; 1 sister Susan Erwin; and 1 brother Doyle Shadowen.
