Charles H. ?Pete? Davis
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 Noon Thursday June 14, 2007 at St. Anthony?s Catholic Church with Father Bruce Lincoln and Father Mark Dunne and Monsignor John Flynn officiating. A rosary service will be held at 6PM on Wednesday June13, 2007 at Rader Funeral Home Chapel 1617 Judson Road. Visitation will follow. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Davis passed away Tuesday June 12, 2007 in Longview.
Mr. Davis was born May 6, 1929 in Freeport, Texas to Ed and Odell Davis who preceded him in death. He was a retired lead man employed with USI- Axelson for 38 ½ years. He was a veteran of serving in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War ll. He was a member of St. Anthony?s Catholic Church, St. Matthew?s VIP, White Oak Senior Citizen and the McDonald?s Group. Having bowled most his life he was a member of the A.B.C., Longview Men?s Bowling Association, Vice President, Board of Director?s, lifetime member, Hall of Fame, and held the high series for several years.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Davis of White Oak, daughters, Debbie Graham and husband Ronny of White Oak, Brenda Selph and husband Bruce of White Oak, and Susan Greening and husband John of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, four grandchildren, Brian Selph and wife Courtney, Ashley Graham, Blake Selph, Jennifer Greening.
