Charles A. Green's Obituary
Charles A. Green of Longview passed from this earth on September 23, 2014. Charles, a life time resident of Longview Texas, was born on August 19, 1947 to Paul Green and Peggy Teague Green. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, as well as his brother Gary Green.
Charles is survived by his wife of 29 years Carol Newman Green of Longview, his sister Paula Green Rainbolt of Longview, his sister in law Sherry Newman Younger and husband Dennis Younger of Diana Texas. He had two sons Preston C. Green and wife Renee Green, along with his mother Elizabeth Stone of Longview and Kyle W Green of Longview. Charles had five grandsons Cole Green of Longview and Trent Green, Nathan Green, Caden Bevis and Adam Bevis all from White Oak, Tx. He had two granddaughters Natalie Green and Taylor Green of Longview. He is also survived by nephews Brian Green and wife Tracy Green of White Oak, Stormy King and wife Victoria King of Dripping Springs Tx, and Cody King of Edcouch Texas. He had one niece – Sandy Martinez and husband Pete Martinez of Longview Tx.
Charles Green was a veteran of the US Navy and served two terms in Vietnam discharging from the Navy in 1971. Upon his discharge from the Navy, Charles began a successful 46 year career in the oil and gas industry where Charles authored material used today in well control training.
Graveside services will be held Friday, September 26, 2014 at 3 pm at the Rosewood Park Cemetery.
