Graveside services for Charles E. ?Charlie? Rice, Jr. , 63, of Longview will be 2 PM Saturday, November 4th at Memory Park Cemetery with Roy Howlett officiating. Family visitation will be Friday evening 6 to 8 PM at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd. Mr. Rice died Tuesday, October 31st at a Local hospital.
He was born September 25, 1943 at Rising Star, Texas to Charles E. and Martha Carlisle Rice, Sr. A resident of Longview since 1956, Mr. Rice was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church at Hallsville, a master carpenter for Classic Homes of Longview, and had served with the Texas National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of Longview; a son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Dawn Rice of Hallsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Kenneth Evans of Allen Texas; grandchildren: Cameron Ivey, Sydnee Evans, Shelby, Alexis, and William Rice; parents, Charles and Martha Rice of Hallsville; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Reid Russell of Dallas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Genia Rice of Porter, Texas and Joe and Sue Rice of New Mexico along with a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Longview Cancer Center, 1300 N. 4th St., Longview, TX 75601.
