Charles Bridges Ballowe
Memorial services for Charles Bridges Ballowe, 90, of Longview will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2008 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend Mark Horner officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home. His remains will be interred in Oakwood Memorial Park in Jefferson at a later date.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Monday until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Ballowe was born August 31, 1917 in Palestine, Texas to Leigh and Mae Ballowe. He was a retired land man for Texaco and was a graduate of Texas A&M University. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during WWII, attaining the rank of Major. He was a member of the Episcopal Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife Anna Walker Ballowe.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Sherman of Longview; children, Bridges Ballowe and Jane Dunham of Dallas; grandchildren, Bryan, Brooke, Jennifer, Will and Collin and great grandchildren, Holden and Walker.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Texas Home Health Hospice, 3220 N. 4th. St., Longview, TX 75605 or to a favorite charity.
