Chance Pate
Funeral services for Chance Pate, 23, of Longview will be at 10 AM Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church of Longview with the Dr. Pat Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, 1617 Judson Road. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 PM Monday, July 4, 2005 in the funeral home chapel.
Chance was born on July 25, 1981 in Gladewater to Randy C. and Mary Beth Pate. He passed away on July 1, 2005 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Chance was a graduate of LeTourneau University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in interdisciplinary studies. He taught High School English at East Texas Christian School. Chance was very gifted in teaching, and he loved his students. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Longview.
Chance is survived by his loving wife, Ellen; his mother, Mary Beth Goodman; father, Randy Pate; sister, Katie Pate; brother, Daniel Pate, and grandparent, Beverly Pate, Clay Pinnick, and Mary Nell.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to: East Texas Christian School, FM 2087 & I-20, Longview, Texas 75601.
