Chance Neff's Obituary
Services for Chance Alexander Neff, 3, of Des Moines, Iowa, formerly of Longview, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, at Mobberly Baptist Church of Longview with the Rev. Lee Wyatt and Dr. Laney Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens under direction of Rader Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday, September 21st, at Rader Funeral Home.
Chance was born in Longview on March 21st, 2000, and he died as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident outside of Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 11, 2003. Chance never met a stranger and his smile lit up a room. He enjoyed playing outside, watching motorcycles, and riding four-wheelers at the deer camp. He loved to carry around his toy planes and helicopters, play with his cousins and visit his family and friends.
Chance is survived by a large and loving family including his parents Robin and Kelly McKinney Neff of Des Moines, Iowa, formerly of Longview; his grandparents Mark and Tedra Neff and Thomas and Becky Gibson McKinney, all of Longview; his great-grandparents Harold and Jane Neff and Ida Robinson, all of Tyler, Milton and Nalda Gibson and Grace McKinney, all of Longview, aunts and uncles Nick and Sherrie McKinney of Kilgore, Gwen McKinney and Chris Neff, both of Longview, Ben and Marilee Doud of Evergreen, Colorado, Carla Stovall of Waco, Tom and Susan Neff and Michael and Jean Robinson, all of Tyler, Bobby Joe and Paula Gibson Linton of Hallsville, Karen Gibson Taylor, Jack and Margaret McKinney Jenkins, Joe and Martha McKinney Ylitalo, and Doug and Rhonda McKinney, all of Longview. He is also survived by numerous cousins and a host of friends and family, especially his church family from St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. Chance was preceded in death by two Great-Grandfathers, Robbie Robinson of Tyler, and Judge Henry McKinney, Jr. of Longview.
