Celia Jane Taylor's Obituary
Celia Jackson Taylor, beloved daughter, wife, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2023, in Longview, Texas. She was born on June 24, 1953, in Longview, Texas, to her adoring parents, Bert Jackson and Maxine Lacy. She was a proud graduate of Pine Tree High School’s Class of 1972. Celia retired from Hudson Printing in 2016.
Celia was a compassionate soul with a heart full of love and a smile that could brighten anyone's day. She touched the lives of many as a dedicated customer service representative, always going above and beyond to assist those she interacted with. Her warm and genuine nature made her a beloved member of the community.
Celia embraced life's joys and cherished her time spent with loved ones. In her spare moments, Celia would often be found indulging in her passion for golfing, bowling, and camping.
Celia leaves behind a legacy of love and memories, forever etched in the hearts of her surviving family members. Her husband of 47 years, Mark Taylor, held a special place in her heart, and their unwavering bond was a testament to their enduring love. Also left behind to cherish her memories are brother Jerry Jackson and wife Rita, nieces Shannon Tatum and husband James, Jana Watson and husband Derrell, Christy Norman and husband Clint, Kelly Litwinenko and husband Victor, Kim Lezar and husband Bo, nephews P.J. Jackson and wife Stephanie, John Jackson and wife Bridget, Mark Jackson and wife Brandy, sister-in-law Sharon Jackson, and numerous great nieces, nephews, and friends. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention special friends, Tammie Spicer, her sister from another mother, Mark and Vicki Trammell, Johnette Stewart, Jeri Larkin, Sherry Pollard, Toni Erickson, and God Daughter Tiffani Erickson.
Celia is preceded in death by her parents; Bert and Maxine Jackson and brothers Perry Jackson and B.J. Jackson.
In honoring Celia's life, a time of visitation to share stories and memories of her remarkable life will be held at Rader Funeral Home located at 1617 Judson Road in Longview, Texas, on September 9, 2023 from 5-8 PM. Friends and family are invited to come together to pay their respects and share in the celebration of a life well-lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Animal Shelter in Longview or Henderson, a cause close to Celia's heart.
Celia Jane Taylor lived a life dedicated to love, kindness, and bringing joy to others. Her memory and legacy will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to have known her. As we mourn her loss, let us also celebrate the immense impact she had on our lives and find solace in the memories shared during her time with us.
