Cecil Gerard Schwarzbach's Obituary
Cecil Schwarzbach was born to Joe and Ruth Schwarzbach in Victoria, TX on September 4, 1955 and was raised from age 9 by his aunt and uncle, Dot and Neville Brown in Texas City, TX. He entered the presence of his Savior on June 11, 2023 while surrounded by family.
He loved his children and grandchildren with a huge heart and had a special story to tell about each one. Family and friends came first in his life. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing no matter where he was, even fishing commercially for a time. Hunting with his bird dog Buddy was a special outing. He enjoyed ‘good” country music, as well as, some gritty blues and was an accomplished guitarist.
Cecil was an amazing wood worker, and he could build, remodel and design anything! He was always ready to lend a helping hand and could fix almost everything! When living in Idaho, he did some residential building, design and remodel work for some famous people whose names you would recognize but never boasted about it, as was his gentle and humble nature.
His memory will be cherished his children, Sabrina Campbell of Santa Fe, TX, Tracey Johnson of Texas City, TX, Leigha Williams of Rockwall, TX, Trent Milligan of Warrenton, VA, Chrissy Schwarzbach of Texas City, TX and Travis Schwarzbach of Columbia City, IN along with their spouses, his 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He will be missed by his brother Joe Schwarzbach of Fairfield, Idaho and his sisters, Marianne DuBord of Houston, TX and Tess Thompson of Longview, TX, as well as his godfather Bob Ekelund of Auburn, AL and many lifelong friends.
While we know we will see him again in heaven, we will miss him fiercely. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18 NIV
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.” John 11:25-26.
