?Sandy? Cecil C. Davis Funeral services for ?Sandy? Cecil C. Davis, 70, of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Reverend John Wallingford officiating. Entombment will follow at Memory Park Mausoleum under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. He passed away Saturday evening, October 6, at his residence in Longview. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 8, at the funeral home. Mr. Davis was born May 14, 1937 in Detroit, Texas to Egbert and Birdie Gray Davis and had been a longtime resident of Longview. He was a self employed journeyman carpenter and was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents ?Granny and Papa Gray? of Munday, TX, who raised him; son, Cecil Davis, Jr. of Kilgore and daughter and son-in-law, Dee and Jim Ed Akridge of Beaver, OK. Those left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Gracie Davis of Longview; children, Pam Cater and husband Dan of Tyler, Tommy Davis and wife Tara of Longview, Diana Adkins of Longview, Carol Lewis and husband Bob of Darrouzett, TX, Libby Dixon and husband Dale of Turpin, OK, Mitch Evans and wife Melissa of Kilgore, Keith Evans of Longview, Rickey Evans and wife Lynn of Longview, Tammy Warren and husband Carlos of Longview, Jimmy Solomon of Perryton, TX, and Joan Bowman and husband Dallas of Georgia; 35 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; Indian brother, Glen Parsons of Gladewater; baby sister, T. C. of Longview; and special cousins, Kenneth and Mary Gray of Austin and numerous other cousins, relatives and friends.
