Services for Cathy L. Raborn, 54, of Longview will be held at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. Visitation will take place Sunday, December 22, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral will occur at 2 p.m. Monday, December 23, with the Rev. Kyle Kirk officiating.
Cathy died suddenly on Thursday, December 19 in Longview. She was born October 10, 1959, in Fairbury, Illinois.
For Cathy, taking care of others was not just a profession; it was a calling. After running a day care center in her home for several years, she devoted herself to caring for both her parents during their lengthy convalescence. After graduating from nursing school, she worked for Texas Home Health for over five years.
Survivors include: Ricky, her husband of 36 years, of Longview; a daughter, Rachel Hardin, son-in-law, David Hardin, and grandson, Jace Hardin, all of McKinney; a sister, Sharon Blair, of Lewisville, a brother, Kirk Fuoss, and his partner, Randall Hill, of DeKalb Junction, New York; and several nephews and nieces.
