Carter Kieth Mayes' Obituary
Carter Kieth Mayes came into this world on June 15, 2004. He went home on December 4, 2010 as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident.
Carter was a first grade student at Hudson PEP Elementary School and was born and raised in Longview, Texas. Hunting and fishing were his two passions. He loved the Texas Aggies. Carter was an avid baseball player and loved riding his chariot and baking. He loved the Lord and Jesus Christ attending First United Methodist Church Longview his entire life.
Carter is survived by his parents, Todd and Paige Mayes, his big brother, Cooper and his younger sister, Maggie. He is also survived by his great-grandmother, Margie Nanie Smith and grandparents, Mike and Linda Overton Mumie and PawPaw and Sandie Mayes Sweetie, Aunt Stacie and Uncle Brandy McPherson, Aunt Bee Overton and cousins Caleb and Hunter McPherson. Also special friend and Nanny, Summer Spurger and God Parents, J. D. and Chelsea Seale. He also had a host of relatives and friends that love him dearly.
Carter was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Pud Smith and grandfather, Kieth Mayes.
Donations may be made to School for Little Children where Carter attended for five years or the charity of your choice.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 12:00 PM at First United Methodist Church under the direction of Rader Funeral Home. Officiating will Dr. Kenn Munn and Cindy Best. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 7, 2010 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Rader Funeral Home.
