Carroll Mack Shipp, 82, of Longview, Texas passed away on January 22, 2022 at home, after a long battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Thursday, January 27th at First United Methodist Church, Longview with Re Read Obituary
One of the kindest gentlest true gentlemen I've ever known. It was a great pleasure to play golf with him. I and our old golfing group will miss him greatly.

I worked side by side with Carroll for over twenty years. Carroll was the most pleasant person to be around and to work with. Carroll and Sandra were such loving and caring people. My wife(Janelle) remembers when she was in labor with our first child and woke up from being sedated the first person she saw was Sandra standing by her bedside holding her hand. We lived in the same neighborhood with Carroll and Sandra in the early 70s and one night when I was working a storm came through and Carroll called Janelle at home to make sure she was ok. I just wanted to share a couple of examples of how Carroll and Sandra showed their love and concern for everyone. Carroll will be missed but the wonderful memories of him will live on. Rest in peace my co-worker and friend.

We enjoyed Carroll and Sandra's friendship as members of the Waddell Sunday School Class. We have fond memories of our times together on Sunday mornings. We will keep the Shipp Family in our thoughts and prayers.
Carroll was one of my golfing buddies for many years in Longview. He was the consummate gentleman and friend. We had so many golf stories and memories as well as reconnecting on Facebook a year or so ago and catching up. Howard my prayers are you and your families. Your dad was one my best friends in Longview.
