Services for Carroll Campbell, 79, of Longview will be held at the Mausoleum of Rosewood Park on Wednesday February 4, 2015 at 10 am with Brother Wayne Spanhanks officiating. The family would like to greet and visit with friends and family at Rader Funeral Home in Longview on Tuesday from 6-8 pm. Carroll went to be with the Lord surrounded by family on Saturday, January 31, 2015.
Carroll was born in Cotton Valley, LA to loving parents Oscar and Emma Campbell. Following his graduation from Stephen F. Austin University, Carroll became a Certified Public Accountant, and worked for the Internal Revenue Service until he opened his own accounting firm. Mr. Campbell had a love for wildlife and the outdoors. He enjoyed spending time at his land, which he affectionately called his “wildlife refuge,” and with his wife Charlsie Campbell. From he and his wife came four daughters and he showed his love to them by being an excellent father. Carroll and his wife were members of Spring Hill 1st Baptist Church.
Carroll was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Charlsie Campbell; both of his parents, Oscar and Emma; his brother Don Campbell; and his mother in law, Jennie Sinclair. Those left to cherish their memories of Carroll include his daughters, Cindy Kirkindoll, Debbie Bassett, Sharon Ingram with her husband Linty, and Michelle Arden with her husband Wallace; his 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, and 2 brothers; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
