CARRIE MELL CLIFTON
Services for Carrie Mell Clifton , 84, of Longview will be 2 PM Monday, September 24th at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Longview with Dr. Tim Watson and Rev. Jim Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Mrs. Clifton died Friday morning at a local medical center.
She was born January 5, 1923 at Pritchett, Texas to Thomas and Bertha Atkinson. A longtime resident of Longview, Mrs. Clifton was a homemaker and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Houston. She especially delighted in being with and caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Margarette Clifton of Pittsburg, Texas; her daughter, Bettina Clifton Crutcher of Longview; grandchildren, Lonnie Clifton and Nikki Phillips, and her six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life for 63 years, her husband, Lonnie K. Clifton in 2003.
Visitation will be 1 pm to 2pm Monday prior to the funeral service.
