Carolyn Wilson's Obituary
Carolyn Wilson passed away peacefully at 5:30 am on 9/9/22. She went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, at the age of 91, born 3/15/31.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William V. Wilson, and brother, Horace Glenn Kyzer.
She was survived by her brother, Gene Austin Kyzer, two daughters, Victoria Autrey and Wanda Wilson son-in-law, Rick Holt, two granddaughters, Holly Perez and Jordan Alexander, two great-granddaughters Kalee Gafford and Elora Wheeler, and one great-great-grandson Oliver Moore.
Carolyn grew up and went to school in Parrish, Alabama. She married the love of her life, Bill Wilson, in 1950. She was a great cook, a talented homemaker and manager of household affairs. Because she loved children, she also ran a childcare facility for a number of years.
After moving to Texas, she was an active member of Valley View Baptist Church, teaching children’s Sunday School and volunteering for many other roles and activities within the church. Carolyn was an Auxiliary member of the Gideon’s International.
Visitation will be held at Radar Funeral home on Monday, 8/12/22 from 5-7 pm. While flowers are not necessary, donations may be sent to the Gideon’s International, to support their Bible outreach, or to the Valley View Baptist Church, Longview, in support of its mission activities.
