Carolyn Sue Hawthorne's Obituary
Funeral services for Carolyn Sue Hawthorne, 55, of Overton, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at the Rader Funeral Chapel with Rev. Billy Fergerson officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Ms. Hawthorne died Monday, November 22, 2010, at Hospice Homeplace in Tyler. She was born September 14, 1955 to Albert and Wanda Sullivan. She lived in Turnertown, TX for most of her life until she moved to Overton, TX. She has been an employee for the Smith County Sheriff's Department for 7 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Dina Higginbotham and nephew Gary Higginbotham.
Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Mikie Cross of Henderson; grandson, Michael Talon Devries of Henderson; brother and sister-in-law, Michael Sullivan and wife Doris of Elderville; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Wyatt and husband Bill of Turnertown; sister, Tammy Sanders of Beaumont; stepdaughter, Jennifer Williams of Turnertown; grandchildren, James Hawthorne, Cody Crocker, Chloe Devires, Dewey Wells, Courtney Williams; several nieces and nephews and ex-husband Charles Hawthorne who remained close friends and several life long friends.
Pallbearers will be Charles Hawthorne, David Owen, Clayton Higginbotham, Ricky Higginbotham, Brett Cross, and Michael Sullivan.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM
