Carolyn Smith Donald's Obituary
Carolyn Smith Donald, age of 52 from Hallsville, Texas, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2010, as a result of a sudden illness. She was born in Longview, Texas, May 25, 1958. Carolyn graduated from Hallsville High School and attended Kilgore College. She fulfilled a long life of laughter, love, and friendships. She was a Godly woman and loved the Lord with all her heart. Carolyn is loved by; her son, Jake Donald and wife Kourtnie Donald, her grandchildren, Slayten, Sutton, and Maddyn Donald, daughters Holly and Morgan Donald, her parents, Jerry and Dorothy Smith, her sisters Gayle Ferrell and Sherrie Patterson and their husbands Robert Ferrell and Jeff Patterson, her neices and nephews, Rob Ferrell, Kim and husband Jeremy Cotton and great-niece Kaydee Cotton, Lindsey and husband Sam Melson and great-nieces Tobi and Grace Melson, Jessica Patterson, Spencer and wife Brittnee Patterson. Everyone that knew her remembers how she could bring a smile to their face. She always lit up the room with laughter and was always so much fun to be around. Carolyn Donald embraced her family with love and was well loved by many. Carolyn left a legacy that others will cherish and carry on. Her legacy included an instrumental role along side her Father's Four-Wheel Drive Shop, Smitty's. It also included the outdoors and she was one of the few East Texas Women to Mud Race throughout the Ark-la-tex. She lived life to the fullest without regret. We will miss her so much. She will always be remembered for her love of life, laughter, coffee breaks and warm loving contagious attitude. Graveside services will be held at 10 AM Monday, October 18, 2010 at Hallsville Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday evening, October 17, 2010 at the funeral home.
