Carolyn Martin Harmon's Obituary
We announce in loving memory the passing of Mrs. Carolyn Harmon, a cherished soul. Carolyn was born on August 24, 1947, in the small town of Beckville, Texas to parents Fern Ozelle and Leland Martin. She made her gentle journey home on July 4, 2026, surrounded by the warmth of her memories and the love of her family. She married her beloved husband Conley Harmon and they spent many years and shared countless memories together until his passing earlier this year.
Carolyn graduated from Beckville High School and went on to attend and graduate from Kilgore College. She was a licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor as well as a licensed Cosmetologist. She was part of the Drug Court Team for Gregg County and worked as a Drug Corp Counselor for Gregg County until October 2025. She navigated the complex landscapes of human emotion and guided countless individuals toward healing and understanding. Her compassion and wisdom will forever echo in the hearts she touched.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Fern Ozelle and Leland Martin, her husband Conley Harmon, sister Lois Walker and her husband Clois Walker, sister Betty Weatherford, brother Phelix Martin, brother-in-law Albert Taylor and nephew Brian Taylor. Carolyn is survived by her sister Jetta Taylor, sister-in-law Dianne Martin Resta, nieces Deborah Hatley and husband Richard, Carla Doss and husband Kent, Hassie Taylor, Lesa Smith and husband Eddie, and nephew Carey Weatherford and wife Toni.
As we gather to honor her memory, funeral services will be held on July 10, 2026, at 2:00PM, in the chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Longview. We will celebrate the vibrant spirit of Carolyn. Family and friends will gather the hour prior to the service for a time of visitation. A private family burial will follow.
May Carolyn’s legacy of kindness, understanding, and joy live on in our hearts, guiding us as we continue our journeys, inspired by the light she shared with the world.
