Carolyn Elaine Gill's Obituary
Memorial services for Carolyn Elaine Gill, age 69, of Mt Enterprise, Tx. will be held Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of the Nazarene in Mt. Enterprise, Texas with Bro. Ken Adkins officiating. Cremation services will be handled by Rader Funeral Home in Henderson , Tx .
Honorary Pall Bearers will be Rick Gill, J. Chais Clements, Justin Travis Gill, Roger Wingate, Blake Grubbs, Grant Grubbs, Joe Segura and Tommy Gill.
Ms. Gill passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012 at her residence with family by her side.
Carolyn was born December 20, 1942 to Robert and Jean Cooper of Indiana . In 1944, the Cooper family moved to Houston Texas , where Carolyn grew up in the Port Houston community. Carolyn met and married Richard "Bookie" Gill, they had 3 children and lived in Houston until 1980 then moved to the East Tx. community of Mt. Enterprise where she and "Bookie" retired and enjoyed their children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. Carolyn came out of retirement for many years and worked for the U.S. Postal Service in numerous rural East Texas communities, she then spent the last years before retiring fulltime as a Librarian at the Mt. Enterprise Library. Carolyn loved anything "Elvis", enjoyed reading, supported community theater, arts and crafting. She always loved visiting with family and friends. Everyone will remember Carolyn because she was always sending them birthday cards. She never forgot anyone and she was loved by all who knew and met her.
She is preceded in death by husband, both her parents and brother.
She is survived by son, Rick D. and wife Wendy Gill of Henderson , TX , daughter, Jeannine and husband Roger Wingate of Cushing , TX , daughter, Crystal and husband Joe Segura of Nacogdoches , TX . Sister, Cathy Cooper Romano and an Aunt Donna Munch of Mt. Enterprise , TX . Grandchildren: Niki Allen, J. Chais Clements, Blake Grubbs, Grant Grubbs and Justin Travis Gill. Great Grandchildren: Nataya, Sheyenne and Boston . Mother-in-law, Elzada Gill of Nacogdoches , TX . Brother-in-law Tommy Sr. and wife Sherry Gill of Porter, TX, Brother-in-law Harvey and wife Carol Gill of Nacogdoches, TX and Sister-in-law Sue Gill Lewis of Nacogdoches, TX. Also, by many special niece's and nephews, as well as many loving friends.
