Carolyn Byrnes' Obituary
On this glorious day, February 19, 2016 Jesus stretched his hand to gently escort Carolyn Byrnes through the gates of heaven. There to meet here was her husband of nearly 30 years Jimmie G. Also there to greet her were her parents, Leroy and Merleigh Blair; brother Royce Blair and sister Judy Bridges and many other family and friends.
Carolyn was born on April 11, 1942 in Carthage, Texas. There was nothing more important in her life than serving the Lord. She proudly did that by working as the church secretary at Wesley McCabe Methodist Church for the last 28 years. If asked what she was most proud of in life it would be her grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as Grandmary.
If a person was lucky enough to have known someone as wonderful as Grandmary in their lifetime, they were truly blessed. Our loss is God’s gain.
She is survived by her daughter Sheila Grace and husband Michael; grandson Mikey; granddaughters Kassidy and Kristina. Son Judd Byrnes and wife Tammy; grandsons Colby and Preston. Brother Lynn Blair and wife Chris; Niece Reagan Ford and husband Randy. Sister June Dunlap and husband Bobby.
