Carol and I went to a Ted Cruz event in Longview. She was such a great Cruz supporter. I remember watching national television one day and noticed that Ted Cruz was at a rally. As the camera shifted on stage, voila!, there was Carol standing behind him. She was amazing. I wish I had been able to attend her service, but was not. She was such a joy.
Carol was a wonderful, dedicated person and a friend. I enjoyed getting to know her at Trinity Church, Marshall, and I sincerely appreciated her continued support of the choir. She was so energetic and such a hard worker. Her love of Christ was evident, and she will be missed. Cindy Cain
Carol loved the Longview Women’s Forum and seldom missed a meeting. The first time I met her she was wearing the blue pantsuit and hat pictured above. She always sat at a front table with her friends often taking their name tags to save their seat! She was a caller for me when I over that office, and hugged me when I became president three years ago. I will miss her smile, her hugs, and comments on our programs. I so loved Carol. This news has just reached me and I am heartbroken. I had open heart surgery in 2017, and I looked up while in the hospital, and there, standing in the door, was Carol. She did what the rest of us just think about doing. A fashion diva, she was so much fun to have coffee with after church. A mover and shaker, her shoes will be impossible to fill. Bless you all. Your Carol was wonderful. You will miss her!
Carol was such a special lady. She had the best sense of humor and she had such energy. My daughter, Angela, and I spent many hours in her van traveling to a DOK meeting and laughed most of the ride. My husband, Doug (also born in Michigan), loved her as much as we did. She served God tirelessly. I know she loved her children and all of the kids in the family. She shared such great memories and kept me up to date on their lives. She was so proud of all of them. She was such an inspiration and I will always remember her with joy. I am so thankful that God allowed our paths to cross and I look forward to being with her in heaven. She will probably be the founder or leader of a great group of God's children!
