Carol Jane Lauschke Coates' Obituary
Carol Jane Lauschke Coates of Longview, Texas died Friday, January 10, 2025, after losing her battle with cancer.
Mrs. Coates was born in Olney, Texas on May 23, 1941. She is preceded in death by her father, Louis Herman Lauschke; mother, Erna Helena Jeske Lauschke, and sister, Louanne Lauschke Grode.
Carol worked as the office manager at Wilson Resources for many years and was a longtime member of High Ridge Church in Longview. She was involved in many groups such as the Radiant Daughters, Golden Eagles, Fun, Food and Fellowship, and Book Clubs. She enjoyed playing her flute and clarinet with the worship team for many years at Church. She loved and was loved by many!
Carol was survived by her husband, Orval Ray Coates but he passed away the very next day after Carol on January 11, 2025, after his long battle with cancer.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Jaclyn Alexander and husband, Jeff; sons, Louis Eckerdt, Ken Coates and wife Karen; and Jack Coates; sisters, Rita Dieterichs, Mary Heflen and husband Bud; Pam Martin and Ellen Fisher; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00am on Monday, January 20, 2025, at High Ridge Church in Longview, Texas. Private Family burial will follow at Rosewood Park Cemetery.
A visitation will be held at Rader Funeral Home on Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 2:00pm to 7:00 pm. An online guestbook may be signed at www.raderfh.com
