Graveside services for Carmon Milford, 100, of Hallsville will be held at Corinth Cemetery in Timpson TX at 2pm on Friday, September 18. Carmon went to be with the Lord in the early afternoon of September 16, 2015 surrounded by her family.
Carmon was born in Tenaha TX to loving parents William Amos and Beulah Risinger on July 31, 1915. She married the love of her life, Claudie Harold Milford, on July 18, 1936. Carmon was a beloved seamstress, mother, and grandmother. She loved cooking, gardening, sewing, and hats; affectionately becoming known as the Hat Lady by her friends and family.
Carmon was preceded in death by her parents, William Amos and Beulah Sanford; her husband of 64 years, Claudie Harold Milford; 2 infant sons; 1 infant granddaughter; sisters, Ethel Hendricks, Della Risinger, and Esther Milford; brothers, Bowden Risinger, and M.B. Risinger. Those left to cherish Carmon’s memory include her daughter, Linnie Crump and husband Billy; granddaughter Leanna Crump Echols and husband Michael Ray.
