Joan and Family,
Though we haven't crossed paths in many years, I remember how much I and my parents, Hal & Gilma, thought of the two of you. You have my condolences. I was sorry to learn of Carlton's passing today in the Henderson Daily News.
My Dad passed away in 1979 and my mother in 2001. I am retired from teaching at SMU and doing honey-dos for Jackie. We live in Dallas but have a second place in Mineola where we spend long weekends.
I know it will be difficult in the coming days without Carlton, so we will keep you in our prayers.
Fondly,
Hal Jr.##imported-begin##Hal Watson, Jr.##imported-end##

What a wonderful blessing Carlton Pinkerton was to my life!
I thank the Lord for putting that man in the path of my life, along with his wonderful family!
One of my most vivid memories of "Mr. Pinkerton", was sitting at the kitchen table, near the refrigerator, drinking buttermilk, in a green glass, and dipping his cornbread in it! I never did understand how that tasted good, but he sure did seem to love it!
Another wonderful memory I have, and there are many, was whenever he would bring home these huge refrigerator boxes from Goodyear for Patti and I to play in, and of course I will never forgot him bringing home these huge inner tubes, and we would all get out in the backyard and jump on them! THe camping trips in the camper, climbing the syamore tree, eating the mulberries off the mulberry tree, "Ms. Shuwees" pomegrante tree, Mt.Enterprise, eating grapes off the vine, picking and eating plums off the tree in the field by our houses, feeding the cows, drinking spring water thru a straw at a state nature trail, and many, many more.
Mr. Pinkerton allowed me to experience all these wonderful memories with his family, and treated me like one of his own. Words cannot describe how blessed I feel to have had all these wonderful experiences and memories to share with my children.
I will always think of him when ever I "rarely" utter these words to my own children, "Good Gosh Amighty!" \=
Life is so precious, and I am so grateful for the opportunity I was given to have known Carlton Pinkerton!
Love and Blessing to Joan, Patti, Gary, Danny, and their wonderful families during this time.
