I taught with Carlene at Pine Tree Intermediate School in the late '70s. I remember her as being an excellent teacher who loved her students and gave me, a new teacher fresh out of college, lots of moral support and inspiration to be the best teacher I could be. My condolences to her family.

Mrs. Partain was my 5th grade teacher at Pine Tree for the 1979/1980 school year. I never knew that it was only her second or third year as a teacher! She was wonderful, understanding, and cared deeply for her students. I will never forget her. My sincerest condolences go out to her family.
So many fond memories and most have a humorous undertone. The biggest most fond memory I have as her son was the fact that she was my greatest encourager …even telling me ‘you still may grow a couple more inches’ ( when I was 25yrs old)!!!
