I LOVED watching Phoebe and her babies and was so sad when she disappeared. Kept checking back just as I did a few minutes ago to see if another had taken her place and am now saddened to read that TXbirdwatcher is gone, too. Never knew her name or saw her sweet face until right now, but there was never any doubt about her kindness. Gone too soon, but may she rest in peace knowing that so many loved her.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family. She IS a wonderful person.
I am one of many who came to think of Carla - TXbirdwatcher - as family via Phoebe's and then Bella's chat rooms. She taught us about hummers and life and brought a positive attitude, a caring spirit and a joyful heart. She will be greatly missed. Prayers for her family and phriends. Hummer hugs to all.

The beautiful picture we see here with Carla's smiling eyes confirms what we already knew about her; how loving she was of family and friends. TX's stories about Sadie and Jet, in Phoebe and later Bella chat rooms, made all of us smile every day along with her. We felt her grief over the loss of Sadie and laughed loudly as she told of the mischievous adventures of Jet.
Her passion and desire to teach about hummingbirds inspired me to follow along and she helped change me to become a better person. I am forever grateful for that and the time and knowledge she gave to me and so many others.
Every little jewel of knowledge we pass on from her will surely bring an equal smile to someone else’s eyes.
I wish Carla's family strength, guidance and comfort in the knowledge that she touched the lives of so many people with joy, on a daily basis, and that she will always be remembered for that.

All the tributes written here are so beautiful and meaningful. I am sorry that I didn't know Carla as well as many so that I too would be able to express myself so lovingly. I was with TXbirdwatcher only a few times when I was actively on the Phoebe Allen website last year. As many have said, she was so very helpful to newcomers and I had hundreds of questions which I am sure were so very basic and mundane to many. But she was always ready to answer me with patience and wisdom. My thoughts and prayers will continue for her family and friends. I send them all the gift of }}}}}}}{{{{{{{ ANGELwingHUGS 4 U.....or perhaps on this day they will be turned into }}}}}}}^{{{{{{{ HUMMERwingHUGS 4 all. Rest In Peace sweet Carla. Today I will fill my feeder in your honor and remember you each time I see my Hummingbirds soar here in cold Washington state. Thank you for being such a beautiful Light in our world. <3 <3 <3
She always sent my Son numerous care packages while he was in Afghanistan. RIP in peace, sweet lady.
My deepest sympathies to the family and loved ones of TXbirdwatcher. Like others, I got to know her on Phoebe's site, where she was a warm, welcoming and light-hearted presence. She will be missed. RIP Carla from tresbien.
