LONGVIEW — Carl Eugene Hane, 98, was born March 11, 1914, in Columbus, Ohio, to Ray L. and Neva Horlocker Hane. Carl passed away Wednesday evening, September 5, 2012, at Haven Care Nursing Home in Longview.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his two brothers, Richard Bratton and Robert Geiser; as well as his three children, Nancy Hanson, Paul Chester Hane and Diane "Missy" Hane.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, June Hane; grandsons, Erik Hanson of Lake Tahoe, California, Paul Hane and Guy Hane of Longview; granddaughters, Kirsten McLain and Tara Gilkey of Columbus, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Alyson and Kyle Hanson, Leah and Colin McLain, Jocelyn and Natalie Gilkey, Tiffany Angus, Breeze Leonard and Talli Hane; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Carl loved fishing at Lake O' the Pines in East Texas and Lake Erie in Ohio. He was a Mason of the Pine Tree Masonic Lodge No. 1396.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today, September 7, 2012, at Rader Funeral Home of Longview. At a later date, a private memorial service will take place in Columbus, Ohio, where his beloved daughter, "Missy," is buried.
