Cameron Spruiell “Cam” Bryant
Graveside services for Cameron Spruiell “Cam” Bryant, 98, of Longview will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2016, at Memory Park. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Bryant was born June 15, 1917, in Marquet, TX to Lee and Hattie May “Jewel” Davis Bryant. He passed away Saturday, May 21, in a Longview nursing facility. He was a retired paint superintendent for Moore Brothers Lumber Co. Mr. Bryant was a Christian, and a former longtime member of Central Baptist Church and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Mr. Bryant served in the National Guard 36th Division and the U.S. Army 3rd Armored Division in WWII.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Marie Bryant; daughters, Barbara Brooks and Letha Walker; baby son, Donald Gary Bryant; brothers, B.L. Bryant, Edd Bryant and “Buck” Bryant; sisters, Hazel Bowden, Dorothy Garcia.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Sandra Taylor and husband, Adrian; son, Kenneth Wayne Bryant, all of Longview; sister, Ruth Sullivan; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
